Southern Indiana Rescue Effort is pleased to introduce 'Macy' , one of the sweetest little dogs you have ever come across! This friendly girl is a black Lab/Coonhound mix, approximately 3-4 years old, with who knows how many other breeds thrown in for good measure! Macy is socialized and friendly with other dogs and seems to be accepting of cats as well. Docile and just a wee bit shy initially, this dog will make an excellent companion for any individual or family, with or without children. The poor girl definitely hasn't had the easiest life so far; whomever her previous owners were, they obviously didn't care enough about the poor little girl to properly feed her, prevent her from running the neighborhood, or even vet her. Lucky little Macy has been literally scooped up from the streets, totally vetted, and will be fostered by the wonderful couple who rescued her until she is safely placed. As you can see from the pictures, Macy is not a very large dog and her adoption fee is minimal, designed only to allow some recouping of the money that has already been spent to vet her. This sweet dog is so deserving of a decent home and is available locally...won't you bring a few jerky treats and come out to meet her?!
